The Thousandfold Thought - R. Scott Bakker I've now read this book twice: The second time around I enjoyed it much more than before though I agree with the opinions of a few other readers here on GR that it feels rushed toward the end. I rarely say this about modern SF/Fantasy but the novel could have used 50-100 pages of narrative.

The third entry in Bakker's series wasn't as good as the first two but the appendices alone are worth the price of the book (in my opinion).

Hopefully, the projected sequels (The Great Ordeal, The Horns of Golgotterath) will return to the quality of the first books.
